The Porgy & Bess club in Vienna is very posh. It was sold out however and we played very well. I even think the Austrian public television station was there recording. Who knows, maybe we'll get big in Austria?

The show in Innsbruck was fun. We were worried that no one would show up because the promoter was having trouble finding a backline and when we got there, not one person was there. However, by showtime the club was filled with fun-loving Austrians dancing to Barbez and gypsy music spun by a DJ. This picture is taken from the back porch of where we spent the night. It's an OK view I suppose.

Turino was a nice city. Bigger and more industrial than some of the cities that we played in but still a good experience. The ladies especially liked the shoe shopping.

The Shoto club in Izola was a great place to eat. They fed us a home cooked meal, a lot of people came out, yelled and screamed and then fed us home made schnapps.

Izola, Slovenia is a gorgeous port town on the Adriatic Sea. On clear days you can see Venice from the tops of the hills.

Ljubjana, Slovenia is beautiful. There's a castle on top of the hill and people are amazing. We played at Channel Zero, an old squat in a complex now run over by students and artists. The hostel we stayed at is an old communist prison.

Here Cecile, Pam and Dan relax in our rehearsal room in Porto. It was one of the nicest practice spaces we'd ever been in; enclosed rehearsal room, couch, refridgerator for beer, balcony, ...being in Portugal.

Here's Dan arriving at the Porto airport. Pam has since rechristened him 'Cousin D' to distiguish him from 'Papa D' (Kaufman) and 'Baby D' (myself). I think he would have preferred something cooler like 'Heavy D'.
